Aaj gum sum hay jo barbad jazeeron jaisi
uss ki ankhon mein chamak thi kabhi heeron jaisi

Kitnay maghroor paharon k badan chak huey
tez kirno ki jo barish hui teeron jaisi !!!

Aakhri lafz hay "yay"

یہ ٹھیک کہ جگ میں نام سہی
مجھے قدرت کے انعام سہی
میں لاکھ بڑا انسان سہی
میں خود کو لیکن کب مانوں
اس جگ کی رائے کیا جانوں
میں جو بھی ہوں، منوانے کو
محتاج ہوں تیری رائے کا
اک تیرے سراہے بن ورنہ
یہ سب کتنا بے مقصد ھے

یہاں جھوٹ اور ڈِھٹائی کا
رواج ایسے پڑا دیکھا
کہ سچ خود کے گریباں میں
شرم سے تار دیکھا ھے
یہاں پر باضمیروں کو
سدا لاچار ہے پایا
مگر موقع شناسوں کو
بَنا اوتار دیکھا ھے

Nahin nigaah mein manzil to justaju hi sahi
Nahin visaal mayassar to aarazuu hi sahi

Na tan me.n Khuun faraaham na ashk aa.Nkho.n me.n
Namaaz-e-shauq to vaajib hai be-vazuu hii sahii

Kisi tarah to jame bazm maikade vaalo
Nahin jo baadaa-o-saaGar to haa-o-huu hi sahi

gar intazaar kathin hai to jab talak ai dil
Kisi ke vaada-e-fardaa ki guftaguu hi sahi

dayaar-e-Gair me.n maharam agar nahin koi
to 'Faiz' zikr-e-vatan apane ruu-ba-ruu hi sahi !!!
