Wo mujh se subh o sham poochte hain
chand sitare tera naam poochte hain

pehle kanoo main sargoshi karte thay
ab yehi baat sar e aam poochte hain

pehle tou sirf sitare poochte thay
ab shaher ke loug tmaam poochte hain

unien mere dil ki qeemat ka andaza nahi
jo mere anmol dil ke daam poochte hain
